One of the first questions I always get asked, is what location should we use for our senior portraits. I have compiled a list of some of my favorite senior portrait locations in Las Vegas. Some have pictures to show examples of the space. Some do not have photos, but you can typically google the location to get a good idea of how it will look.
The perfect senior portrait location will depend on what your style is and what type of clothing you would like to wear. If your thinking about booking a session, I will help you decide on the best location and even help you come up with some clothing ideas or suggestions.
Senior Portrait Locations Ideas For Las Vegas
- The Arts District Downtown is one of my favorite places. There is lots of cool graffiti, interesting shops, and cool backgrounds for edgy photos.
- The Neon Boneyard is awesome and great for Vegas types of photos. However, there is a fee of $250 per half hour to have your session there.

- If you like the boneyard but dont want to have to pay that fee, downtown freemont is another great area. There are some cool retro Vegas signs and cool casinos that provide the perfect backdrop.
- The Springs Preserve is a great spot. It has alot of neat nature areas outside and even some of the walls on the buildings are cool for an urban look. You can get cactus gardens and roses all in one spot.

- Nelson Ghost Town is another of my favorites. It is about an hour from town and the charge is $10 per hour to shoot there. It has so many amazing things that are sure to make your photos stand out.
- The dry lake bed is a fun place for a desolate desert scene. You can even make it fun and bring out a cool chair or anything you want. Its just a big desert area with mountains in the background and the star of the photo is you.
- Lake Las Vegas is a beautiful serene area with the lake and lots of pretty nature backgrounds.
- Spring Mountain ranch is a place that I love. There is a permit fee of $50 to shoot there.
- Mt Charleston is the place to go if you love a forest looking place with lots of huge trees and nature all around.
- Floyd Lamb park is beautiful and similar to Spring Mountain ranch. There is an entry fee there as well which I believe is around $7. They have some cool white buildings, bamboo trees, and tall grasses and a lake.
- Town Square is a great spot for modern urban backgrounds.
- Heritage Museum on boulder highway has some really cool retro buildings and trains which are great for photos.
- Desert locations are one of the most popular requests. There are quite a few different desert locations. Each with their own look and their own types of greenery. Some areas have Joshua Trees, cholla cactus, and desert shrubs.
- UNLV is another great spot. Especially if you plan to attend school there. They have so many beautiful nature type settings.
If you have any other location suggestions I would love to hear about them. I love to travel for senior portraits as well, so contact me to talk all about it.
