Its about that time to start thinking about senior portraits.  I know school just ended, but time flies and I wanted to help give some location ideas for some awesome senior photographs.

Some of my favorite Las Vegas spots are listed below.  The perfect location will depend on what your style is and what type of clothing you would like to wear.  If your thinking about booking a session, I will help you decide on the best location and even help you come up with some clothing ideas or suggestions.

  • The Arts District Downtown is one of my favorite places.  There is lots of cool graffiti, interesting shops, and cool backgrounds for edgy photos.
  • The Neon Boneyard is awesome and great for Vegas types of photos.  However, there is a fee of $200 per hour to have your session there.
  • If you like the boneyard but dont want to have to pay that fee, downtown freemont is another great area.  There are lots of cool retro Vegas signs and cool casinos that provide the perfect backdrop.
  • The strip is another great place with that Vegas theme.  There is also the city center area which looks more like a metropolitan city.  The fountains in front of the bellagio are gorgeous, and really the possibilities there are endless.
  • The Springs Preserve is a great spot.  It has alot of neat nature areas outside and even some of the walls on the buildings are cool for an urban look.
  • Nelson Ghost Town is another of my favorites.  It is about an hour from town and the charge is $10 per hour to shoot there.  It has so many amazing things that are sure to make your photos amazing.
  • The dry lake bed is a fun place for a desolate desert scene.  You can even make it fun and bring out a cool chair or anything.  Its just a big desert area with mountains in the background and the star of the photo is you.
  • Lake Las Vegas is a beautiful serene area with the lake and lots of pretty nature backgrounds.
  • Spring Mountain ranch is a place that I love.  It is near Bonnie Springs and I beleive the entry fee is $7.  They have lots of pretty nature areas and even some cool old looking buildings.
  • Mt Charleston is the place to go if you love a foresty looking place with lots of huge trees and nature all around.
  • Calico Basin is a popular photo spot up near Red Rock with tall grasses that provide the perfect setting for beautiful nature shots.
  • Red Rock itself is amazing as well.
  • Floyd Lamb park is beautiful and similar to Spring Mountain ranch.  There is an entry fee there as well which I beleive is around $7.  They have some cool white buildings, bamboo trees, and tall grasses and a lake.
  • Town Square is a great spot for modern urban backgrounds.  One of my favorites.
  • Heritage Museum on boulder highway has some really cool retro buildings and trains which are great for photos.

If you have any other location suggestions I would love to hear about them.  These are just some of my favorite photography locations in town.  If you are planning to get your senior photos done soon, contact me so we can start coming up with the perfect details to make your photos as awesome as you!
