Last week I had the honor of flying out to LA with the lovely Mariyah and her mother to take senior portraits on Venice Beach.  Mariyah is graduating with the class of 2015.  She is actually one of the first teenagers I ever photographed back in 2010.  You can see those photos here.  In these last 4 years Mariyah has grown in to such a beautiful young woman.  She attends one of the local magnet schools in town and is specializing in journalism.  She wants to be a broadcast journalist.  She will be amazing, can’t wait to see her on TV in a few years.  She already has her eyes set on a college in North Carolina.  Big things will be coming from this girl, I just know it.

Mariyah wanted something special for her senior pictures.  There are a few popular spots in Las Vegas where most of the seniors go but Mariyah wanted hers to be unique.  Not only are her pictures amazing, but it was a fun experience she will never forget.  Venice is such an interesting place with all kinds of areas and people.  We spent a little bit of time in some of the back alleys, ventured to the boardwalk where most of the people were, and made our way towards the beach at the end during sunset.  There were plenty of whistles and catcalls sent her way during the photo shoot, even girls were telling her how fabulous she looked.
